Avery Hill Park

A dull public park with the best Victorian conservatory (Winter Garden) in South London. It was part of a grand house owned by John Thomas North the 'nitrate king' (who imported guano from Chile). The LCC London County Council acquired the site in July 1902.

Park open all year daily. Winter Garden open all year except Christmas and New Year: daily 10am to 12 noon and 1pm to 4pm.
