De Warande

This forest garden was part of the old Keppel estate - a 'warande' is an area of land preserved in its natural state. It was made by the owners, with interests in art history and landscape architecture. The planting, beautifully composed, merges imperceptibly into the forest. The swimming pond is a central feature of the garden.
