Ripley Castle Garden

A Tudor castle, made into a house in the eighteenth century, with a serpentine park. Dorothy Stroud comments that 'No documents have come to light but a family tradition ascribes the landscaping of the grounds to Brown'. There an eighteenth century orangery and a nineteenth century serpentine lake. The Ripley Castle walled garden holds collections of hyacinths and tropical plants.

Opening times Garden open daily all year except Christmas day and Boxing Day. Open 9am to 5pm (4:30pm in winter). Castle open daily from Easter to October and weekends throughout the year. Castle also open Tuesday and Thursdays in November and March.
