Parkhead Gardens

Parkhead Gardens surround an old farmhouse with a national collection of Mylnefield Lilies. The garden has been developed as a garden for all seasons but the best time to see the lilies in flower is from early July.

History

We bought Parkhead House in 1982. The house was sited on one acre of land and the garden was not very well stocked with plants but there were several beautiful trees including Spanish Chestnuts, a Horse Chestnut (which sadly had to be taken down in 2010), a Walnut, a vast Holly hedge and Beech hedges.

It has taken 30 years to develop the garden with many changes along the way. Many trees, shrubs and plants have been added to create a 'Garden for All Seasons'.
