Chinese Garden of Friendship

The garden was initiated by the local Chinese community to celebrate Australia's bicentenary in 1988. The design of the garden mimics that of the time of the Ming dynasty - the garden is a peaceful retreat from the urban life. There are lakes, waterfalls, pavillions and a traditional teahouse but the garden is designed so only part of the garden will be visible at a time. .
