Finding and visiting gardens in Devon

Devon has high moorland in the middle and coastlines to the north and south. Devon County once prospered on mining and fishing but now relies on tourism. The RHS made a botanic garden at Rosemoor and the gardens of wealthy men, attracted by Devon's scenery and climate, can be seen at Castle Drogo, Dartington Hall and elsewhere.
