  Lighting makes a huge difference to the look of a garden come dusk. Lighting should not just be used to light walkways or patios, but to light areas of the garden to draw the eye.

  To be honest, solar lighting used to be very poor and not worth the money. Recent advances (mainly in battery technology & cost) mean solar lights are now a cost effective solution to add light to your garden without the hassle of plumbing into a mains supply.
  
  Solar lighting is also super-easy to move, should the mood take you. Many units now come separate from the solar cell that collects energy, so they are aesthetically similar to electric versions, without the clunky looks of older items.
