Docton Mill and Garden

The pools, leats and other watercourses round an old mill have been made into a delightful garden. It verges into woodland and is only 1500 yards from a beach. Docton Mill has a bog garden, vegetable garden and 140m herbaceous border.  Particularly worth a visit in the spring when the narcissi are in bloom. It is a sweet example of gardenesque planting design in the sense of composing exotic plants as though they were native plants.
