Trelissick Garden

A 1750 house with Cornish woodland garden started in the twentieth century. The site is less dramatic site than some of Cornwall's great woodland valley gardens, but Trelissick is carefully maintained by the National Trust. It is mainly a spring garden but also has summer flowering shrubs. The design follows the principles of Repton (a terrace in front of the house) and Loudon (gardenesque planting). An orchard of Cornish apples was added in the early twenty-first century.
