Kubota Garden

Fujitaro Kubota emigrated to the US from Japan in 1907 and began the garden in 1927. In 1987, the City of Seattle acquired the garden and it became a public park.  There is a series of ponds fed by Mapes Creek, waterfalls and bridges. Tom Kubota, son of Fujitaro, designed a stroll garden in 1999.
