Jardin de Léonard

Jardin de Léonard is at Château du Clos Lucé. Leonardo da Vinci was invited to Amboise by King Francis I, who gave him Clos Lucé. He spent the last 3 years of his life here. An underground passage connects Clos Lucé to the royal chateau. Jardin de Léonard opened in 2008 with the aim of breathing life into Leonardo's landscapes and botanical studies. One feature is a double-deck bridge invented by Leonardo.

History

Leonardo da Vinci’s last residence, the Château du Clos Lucé, is dedicated to conveying an overall picture of the art and the boundless vision of the Tuscan artist. From civil and military engineer to botanist, in his work as an architect and as a musician, the all-encompassing nature of Leonardo da Vinci’s intuition is brought to life before your eyes

The château is open daily all year round except 25 december and 1st january the landscaped itinerary is open daily from 15 march to 15 november January: 10am- 6 pm February - March: 9am - 6pm April-June : 9 am - 7pm July - Agust: 9am - 8pm September - October :9am- 7pm November -December : 9am-6pm

INDIVIDUALS high season : 12,50€ low season: 9,50€ GROUPS high season :9,50€ low season : 7,50€
