Governor John Langdon House Garden

Governor Langdon was a signatory to the American Constitution and George Washington visited his house. The garden design is characteristic of the nineteenth century Mixed Style. It has herbaceous perennials, a pergola, a pavilion, a geometrical axis. The house was extended my McKim, Mead and White in 1905 and has a dining room opening onto the back garden.
