The Garden Guide

Company's Gardens

Established in 1652, Company's Gardens were originally a vegetable patch for the Dutch East India Company. The gardens have a rose garden, fish ponds and a Saffren Pear Tree that is believed to be South Africa's oldest cultivated tree.
