Canada has some good gardens but not many companies which offer specialist tours of Canadian gardens. People tend to hire a car and plan their own arrangements. An exception is garden tours of Victoria in British Columbia.
Gardening on an agricultural level began in Canada before the Europeans arrived. The indigenous peoples, in particular the Hurons, tended and harvested crops of maize, beans, squash through companion planting techniques as well as other fruits, nuts and herbs for both nutritional and medicinal purposes.
