The Clore Gallery extension to the Tate Britain Gallery was opened in 1987. The architecture, by James Stirling, is markedly postmodern. The garden, designed by landscape architect Janet Jack of BDP, has a modernist plan with some postmodern detailing. The garden space is sometimes used for outdoor exhibits - so it is always worth looking in when walking along Millbank.
The Tate Gallery Garden is on the London Gardens Walk and included in the eBook guide to the London Gardens Walk
