The Enid A. Haupt Glass Garden is a theraputic garden that is part of the Rusk Institute for rehabiltation. Originally, garden was simply a peaceful retreat from the hospital until a program of horticultural therapy was introduced in the 1970s. The idea was to combine horticultural therapy with medical therapy. Patients work with trained horticultural therapists. Part of the garden, with a beautiful pool, is in a 1,700 square foot greenhouse. The garden is also open to the public.
