Washington Oaks Gardens State Park

Washington Oaks Gardens State Park is located between the Atlantic Ocean and the Matanzas River on a site originally used as a hunting ground by the Native Americans. The gardens were established by Louise and Owen Young in the 1930s and gifted to the state in 1965. Washington Oaks is planted with a a combination of native and exotic species. There is also a Rose Garden.
