University of California Irvine Arboretum

The UCI Arboretum initially focused on South African plants but now the emphasis has shifted to plants native to the California Floristic Province. This encompasses Baja California, the California Channel Islands, Maritime Succulent Scrub, Mojave Desert, Southern Maritime Chaparral, Otay Mesa, oak woodland and native grasslands and wildflowers. The arboretum is part of the UCI School of Biological Sciences.
