Stora Hyttnäs is situated by River Sundbornsån, next to the home of famous Swedish artist Carl Larssons. The nineteenth century garden was made by the Linderdahl family. Bengt
Linderdahl was a botanist and brought some interesting plants to the garden. The old family house is now a museum. Separate garden rooms are linked by a twisting path. There is an ornamental garden, kitchen garden, meadow and woodland. The Gubbeäppelträdet or "The old man" apple tree is one of the oldest in the country (1650).
