Ravine Gardens State Park

This ravine on the St Johns River was transformed into a garden by the federal Works Progress Administration in 1933. There is an obelisk dedicated to Roosevelt, rock gardens and fieldstone terraces. The garden is at its best when the azaleas are flowering - late January to April.
