North Carolina Botanical Garden

The University of North Carolina established the Coker Arboretum in 1903 and the Botanical Garden in 1961. It is a Center for Plant Conservation holding part of the National Collection of Endangered Species. There are collections of native plants, carnivorous plants and ferns.
