Kahanu Garden

A rugged coastal garden taking advantage of the black lava as a design element. The garden is on the site of Pi'ilanihale heiau, lava-rock temple believed to be the largest ancient place of worship in Polynesia. There is a focus on plants from the Pacific Islands. The garden is home to the world's largest collection of breadfruit cultivars.
