Houghton Hall Garden

Houghton Hall was the residence of Britain's de facto first Prime Minister, Robert Walpole (1676-1745). The deer park was redesigned by Charles Bridgeman in the 18th century. The former kitchen garden has been turned into a memorial to the grandmother of the current Lord Cholmondeley. There is an Italian Garden, Rose Garden, Laburnum Garden and Pool Garden (which you can see if you zoom in on the satellite image on the location map below).
