Feldafing Park

The park was laid out by Carl von Effner for King Maximilian II of Bavaria in 1854.  Feldafing is on the shores of Starnberger See (Lake Starnberg) opposite Roseninsel (Rose Island).  Plans to build a palace in the park were abandoned on the death of Maximillian II.
