Eagle Point Park in Iowa

The idea for Eagle Point Park came, in 1908, from Judge Oliver Perry Shiras, Frank J. Piekenbrock and Herbert Adams. Charles Robinson was appointed as the landscape architect. Eagle Point Park was opened in 1909 and in 1933 the Neuman Log Cabin, believed to be the oldest building in Iowa, was moved  to the park. Eagle Point Park is a large city park, located high on a bluff overlooking the Mississippi River valley.  Alfred Caldwell designed the buildings.
