The Atlanta History Center was founded in 1926 and is now located on 33 acres in the heart of the Buckhead district. Along with museums, a library and two historic houses. The Swan House has an Italian garden designed by Philip Trammell Schutze. There is also a set of historic gardens: the Quarry Garden (pre-settlement native plants), the Tullie Farm Gardens (heritage vegetables in period gardens), Swan House Garden (gardening in a grand manner), the Cherry Sims Garden (Asian and Southeastern US plants) and the F.Smith Rhododendron Garden.
