Garden Tours in Greece

The sites of interest to garden historians in Greece are classical sites with designed open spaces. There are lots of companies offering tours of these classical sites but few companies offer specialist tours of Greek gardens. Greece does not have a strong tradition of garden making and little is known of Greek garden history. However, the native flora of Greece is one of the most varied in Europe as the country was never glaciated. Greek wildflowers are very colourful. In addition, many of the natural landscapes in Greece are stunning, particularly on the islands, and traditional Greek architecture is attractrive.
