Hemp cord binding for bamboo fences

The kinds of cord used to bind together the parts of Bamboo Fences, as well as the manner of looping and tying, are of no small importance. Sometimes the stems of vines or wistaria creepers are used, but oftener hemp cords, or the fibres of the Pteris aquilina, dyed of a brown or black colour.
