Waterside planting

Particularly suited for the vicinity of water-basins are the Andromeda japonica, Aucuba japonica, Nandina domestica. Astragalus reflexistipulus, Phellodendron amurense, and the Cleyera japonica. Any of these may be planted so that a branch extends over the basin, but at sufficient height not to interfere with its use.
