Alan Bloom is the founder of Blooms of Bressingham. He began work as a gardener at the age of 16 and e bought Bressingham Hall, Norfolk in 1946. The nursery expanded rapidly in the 1950s and is now a well known plant supplier with a large nursery. Bloom planted the 47 island beds with over 5000 different plants.
