Finding and visiting gardens in Hampshire
Hampshire has heathland and woodland in the south, including the New Forest, and chalky downland to the north, including Salisbury Plain and the South Downs. South Hampshire has gardens which are famous for their planting (Mottisfont Abbey Garden, Sir Harold Hillier Gardens, Exbury Garden) and North Hampshire has gardens better known for the design (eg West Dean Garden and Strafield Saye).
