Balsamand Palace Garden

Balsamand is a Rajput summer palace (now a hotel) built for the Maharajas of Marwar. Balsamand Lake dates from the 13th century. The water palace stands on the embankment of the dam. A well maintained garden lies in the valley east of the lake with a marble cascade descending from the lake to the garden. There is a small but fine old baoli (stepwell) near the garden entrance.

The Balsamand Palace Hotel is a popular venue for luxury garden weddings.
