Trimpley Reservoirs

Previous - Next

Trimpley Reservoirs, near Bewdley in Worcestershire, are also beautiful, and partially bunded, reservoirs. They were designed by Binnie and Partners with Colvin and Moggridge as landscape consultants. Two small oval reservoirs have been set in a wooded section of the Severn Gorge and appear to float amongst the trees. A steep grassy bank made of excavated soil extends down to the river. It is grazed by sheep and hides the concrete basins which retain the water. A well designed dinghy park and sailing club give visitors the impression that the larger reservoir was designed for recreational use.
