Numerous other departures from the ordinary treatment of Tea Gardens seem to have been made from time to time, some of which are illustrated by Figures scattered through the text. These woodcuts are taken from old books, and no attempt has been made to alter the primitive method of delineation, which, in addition to its quaintness, possesses the merit of giving an idea of both plan and elevation in one.
