Juniper, Tsuga and Cupressus species

Next may be mentioned several kinds of the Juniper, such as:�Juniperus rigida (Nezu or Muro-no-ki), Juniperus littoralis (Hai-nezu), Juniperus taxifolia (Shi-ma-muro), Juniperus ckinensis (Ibuki); and under the class of Ibuki are included Shirofu-ibuki, or White-spotted-leaved Juniper; Ogon-ibuki, or Golden Juniper; and Barafu-ibuki, or Centre-spotted-leaved Juniper. Other coniferous evergreens are:�Tsuga sieboldii (Tsuga), Torreya-nucifera (Kaya), Cephabolaxus drupacea (Inu-gaya), Libocedrus decurrens (Oni-hiba), Cupressus corneyaua (Suiriu-hiba or Kanaami-hiba), Taxus cuspidata (Ichii), Taxus tardiva (Kiara-boku), and Picea alcockiana (Toki).
