46. The villa of Cicero at Arpinum combined a variety of natural beauties. Cicero, in his Letters, expatiates on the groves which he had formed there; on the streams that passed through them from the surrounding hills, and on the absence of all appearance of art, and of all false ornament. Cicero died B. C. 43.
