Anti-work cap

Previous - Next

1835. A cap to prevent worms from entering pots has been invented by Mr. Barron, the head gardener at Elvaston Castle. The cap is made small, and has a rim round its edge. When it is used, it is placed over the hole in the bottom of the pot, and admits the escape of water, while it effectually prevents the entrance of worms.
