General results of a Gardening Tour, during July, August, and part of September, in the Year 1831, from Dumfries, by Kirkcudbright, Ayr, and Greenock, to Paisley. By the Conductor. In this fragment of our tour, we shall introduce a few words on the agriculture of the west of Scotland; and take next in order field hedges, plantations, edgings of walks, lawns, kitchen-gardens, and the construction of hot-houses. In a succeeding fragment, which will appear in our Number for December, we shall criticise the palace, mansion, villa, and cottage residences, of this part of our route, and thus conclude our tour.
