Jesmond Dene House

Jesmond Dene House is a lovely hotel overlooking the valley of Jesmond Dene, a Victorian park created by Lord Armstrong. The hotel garden was extensively replanted in 2005 for the opening of the hotel. It has a wide terrace and colourful plantings with Dahlias, Salvias, Red-hot Pokers and a profusion of spring bulbs. The garden provides the hotel's 2 AA Rosette restaurant with vegetables and herbs. Newcastle city centre is only a 5 minute drive from the hotel. Jesmond Dene is adjacent to the hotel. Other gardens to visit while staying at Jesmond Dene House include Lord Armstrong's Cragside House (31 miles), Alnwick Garden (32 miles) and Alnwick Castle (32 miles).
