Bantry House

Bantry House & Garden offers hotel grade ensuite accommodation on a bed and breakfast basis from March to November.  The guest accommodation consists of 6 double/twin rooms situated in the east wing of the house, and one family suite in the west wing.  All rooms overlook the Italianate Garden, with the wisteria circle and fountain. There is a private guest lounge and bar area, with real fire and billiard table.

 

Self catering accommodation is also provided in the unique Gatelodge situated at the end of the house avenue.  This is a 2 bedroomed, 2 bathroomed property with an enclosed garden courtyard, this can be rented on a weekly basis.

 

During the summer season guests can enjoy the West Wing Bistro which is situated in the grounds and sample high quality local produce, some of which originates from our own estate gardens.

 

Our accommodation is perfect base for groups/clubs interested in gardens and history as West Cork provides a plethora of visits to internationally recognised areas of beauty. Our accommodation for groups can be reserved throughout the year.  Please enquire.  

 

Of course all our guests have complimentary self guided tours of the House during their visit.  On most occasions the owners of the house, Egerton and Brigitte Shelswell-White, are here to welcome our guests and provide them with a personal insight into living in such a beautiful place.  This all makes for our guests, not just an overnight stay, but a totally unique and unforgettable experience.
