Osborne House Garden

A great nineteenth century house and garden, designed for Queen Victoria and Prince Albert by the London builder, Thomas Cubitt. Osborne House garden is a good example of the Victorian Italian Style. The estate had an eighteenth century garden when it was purchased by Queen Victoria. This included the walled kitchen-garden and pleasure ground.  Prince Albert took a personal interest in the planting, influenced by his family home, Rosenau, and helped by  Ludwig Gruner.
