A large woodland garden, managed in the manner of a public park. It has a central lake and a very wide range of trees, shrubs and herbaceous plants. The Valley Gardens, nearby, are an extension of the Savill Garden and were also made by Sir Eric Savill. A contemporary rose garden was added in 2010, designed by Wilson McWilliam Associates.

The new Rose gardens wre my principal focus.. best appreciated from a much greater height to admire the quality of design..perhaps a climbable wembley-esque arch! Sadly there wasnt much fragrance to enjoy. I liked the blending of different pinks in closely arranged plantings.

(4.0/5)A really magnificent garden for all seasons! Famous for its azaleas and colour displays in the spring; wonderful borders in summer and glorious autumn colour. Fantastic collection of rare and unusual trees, so stunning autumn leaves!
