A Tudor house (1540) with a broadly Arts and Crafts garden. The garden is beside the River Cray and has a series of enclosures. There is a set of topiary Kings's Beasts, a sunken garden, herbaceous borders a heather garden and a rockery which is strangely isolated in an field of mown grass.
