My husband and i visited Furzey Gardens for the first time last week March 30th and we were amazed as to how beautiful the gardens were, we had a nice pot of tea and some scones and fresh cream in the nice friendly cafe, the staff were so helpful.

We are from London but we were staying in the Prioy Hotel in Wareham for a few days. We just drove up for the day to see some of the Forest and Gardens we took a long walk and we did manage to see a deer and some robins which was a real delight. It's really nice to see the wild horses still surviving in the forest.
We took many photos and we will share these with our friends and hopefully we can persuade them to visit. We will be back as we loved it very much.

I absolutely love Furzey Gardens. My family and I have annual membership and go whenever we can. they are beautiful and there's always something new to find. My daughters especially love the play area and all of the fairy houses.

I'm particularly excited that Furzey Gardens is going to host some creative writing classes starting in October 2010.

We have visited the garden in the autumn time - it was quite colourful and very quiet.

Having last visited this Garden about 38 years ago it was intriguing to see it again in a very mature state.

There is plenty of evidence that a lot of renewing or regeneration of the elderly shrubs, principally Azaleas and some Rhodos is under way, thankfully.

It is a garden best viewed in late April to May when everything explodes into colour, and a veritable riot it was many years ago !!

There are some quite choice plants about..I admired some lovely Rh. Thompsonii and Rh. Beanianum for their gorgeous deep blood toned blooms.

Children are well catered for..look for the assorted Fairy Doors !
