Berkeley Rose Garden

The Rose Garden is an amphitheatre set into a hill overlooking the Bay. It was made under the Works Project Administration. Rose societies and community members have donated plants and volunteer time. The terraced amphitheatre and redwood pergola were designed by landscape architect Vernon M. Dean and rose specialist C. V. Covell.
