An elegant eighteenth century house with a deer park and beautiful grounds, for which Humphry Repton produce a Red Book in 1797. He recommended clever tree planting and dammed the River Tern to make it a more prominent feature as it flowed under the 1782 bridge.

Opening times - House open March to October, Tuesday to Thursday from 11am to 4:30pm. Deer park and grounds open all year, dawn to dusk.

    Garden? Really? There is a fabulous park but a garden? No not really. The walled garden is being restored but is a work in progress.

    The cake in the tearoom is rather nice!
