Reviews of Arlington Court Garden

I have visited many of the NT's properties in recent years, and this is not one of their best. The house, small, but full of wonderful detail, and the Carriage collection are good; particularly as the Speaker's State Coach is currently on display. However, the recommended estate walks (lake walk etc.) are very poor and extremely muddy - even on a dry day. Additionally, there is little of interest even on the longest walk.

Arlington is not a big house, in the grand scheme of National Trust properties it is definitely not premiership class, and yet....

The main garden is typical national trust, lawn, trees and shrubs with the odd pond. On top of this Arlington has a rather nice walled garden.

There are some pleasant walks through the park.
