Harold Ainsworth Peto

An architect and connoisseur, son of Sir Samuel Morton Peto of Somerleyton Hall. Harold Peto loved Italian gardens but was also influenced by the Arts and Crafts enthusiasm of his day. Jekyll illustrated his work in her book on Garden Ornament. Harold Peto's own house, Iford Manor, shows his style and interests.
