Deeply disappointed by this garden. Doesn't seem to be maintained at all. I understand that Brookes uses self-sowing as part of his plan, but it just looked like 99% of the garden had received no attention in the last 6 months, with natural self sowers including nettles, bindweed & buddleia...
The few bits that had seen some maintainence were quite odd - some pale yellow antirrhinums inside a box hedge looked boring & old fashioned compared to most municipal parks.
I'd heard that the garden centre was really good, but this too seemed to be out of sorts. Plants well past their best, really vulgar statuary & metal garden structures rusting away. The cafe is supposed to be good, but considering the state of everything else, we didn't risk our luck.(1.0/5)
