Bluebell Cottage Nursery

We visited at Agar's at the end of the season and the owners were a great help in designing our school garden. They mapped out the area on the car park gravel and chose plants to fit the plan we gave them and the photo of the site. We were impressed with their extensive knowledge of their plants, what would be suitable and the growing tips. I have never been to a nursery and been given such valuable and comprehensive advice. They were also so friendly and cheerful! Thanks to you both. We would recommend Agar's if you want good advice on garden design - with excellent plants to take away at very competitive prices!

We visited this nursery on 14th September and felt most uncomfortable. On our arrival as we opened the car door, someone rushed out and asked "what do you want" we thought we had arrived at a private residence or arrived when they were closed. We said we just came to look at plants and were asked what plants then told to "follow me". After 5 minutes we were finally allowed to look at plants on our own but closely observed. There was actually a good choice of plants and we bought £20 worth but we wouldn't go again as we were so uncomfortable. We are retired plant nursery owners and would never treat customers in that manner.
